DHAKA: Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) Mayor MA Mannan has been suspended from his position again as Gazipur special judge's court takes the charge-sheet into cognizance in a case against him filed by ACC.

Moreover, government also suspended an accounting officer of GCC, Golam Kibria, in this regard.    

Local government division issued a notice ordering the temporary suspension on Thursday (July 6). 

As per the notice, on June 12 in 2016, ACC filed the case with Joydebpur thana accusing MA Mannan and Golam Kibria for misappropriating Tk 49 lakh belonged to GCC by formulating unsigned fake vouchers while serving as mayor of Gazipur.

Previously, MA Mannan had been suspended two times during his tenure as Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) mayor.
