DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said BNP will not participate in the next parliamentary election under the PM Sheikh Hasina-led government.
He made the remarks while addressing as chief guest at a human chain organized by Shadhinota Forum at the National Press Club on Friday morning (July 7).
Rizvi said there is point trusting the ruling party as they suppress the truth and lie constantly.
Criticizing Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, he said, “Mr Quader can’t see things that are happening around as he wears sunglasses. Disappearance and extra judicial killings are undergoing secretly. Parliament’s door is closed for people. Rampal power plant is being made under India’s patronization. Our heritage site Sundarbans will be destroyed because of Sheikh Hasina.”
Mentioning that seven thousands among the ten thousand prisoners are BNP men, Rizvi warned that this is not the end. The ruling party will bear the consequences of their action someday.
“But no compromise will be made regarding the election. BNP will not attend polls under Sheikh Hasina-led tyrant government.”
