DHAKA: BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said the 11-point proposal placed by ruling Awami League is a plot to change the outcome of the upcoming general election. 

He made the remark in a press conference held at BNP office in city’s Naya Paltan area on Friday (Oct 20).

Rizvi said, “The proposal Awami League placed to the Election commission has a secret agenda to control the election onlookers, mass media and eventually the results of the election.”

Mentioning the PM Sheikh Hasina as the main obstacle to a free and fair election, Rizvi termed the AL proposal contrary to public opinion.

“All the opposition parties agrees on army deployment during polls but AL took stance against it. They want to keep the army out of the way so that they can do the vote exploitation.”
