DHAKA: Awami League presidium member and public administration minister Syed Ashraful Islam's wife Sheila Islam is no more.

She breathed her last at the UCLH University College Hospital in London in the early hours on Monday (October 23).

Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Hanif said that Sheila Islam died in the London hospital at about 3:00 am.

Sheila Islam had been suffering for cancer. She was undergoing treatment at ICU at the UCLH University College Hospital. Syed Ashraful Islam was also staying there.

The news of her death spread on the social media on Sunday.
