LAKSHMIPUR: Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal, the student wing of the BNP, brought out procession in Lakshmipur on Tuesday (October 24) protesting arrest warrant against BNP senior vice chairman Tarique Rahman in a sedition case.

The procession was brought out from Chawkbazar area and ended at Mohammed Ali Road in the district town.

After the procession a brief rally was held. District Chatra Dal President Harunur Rashid and Vice President Fayez Ahmed spoke in the program, among others.

Speakers of the rally demanded immediate withdrawal of false cases filed against Tarique Rahman.

Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court issued the warrant for Tarique Rahman and three others for a case filed with Tejgaon Police Station.
