DHAKA: The Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Dipu Moni urged international community, including the United Nations to solve Rohingya crisis.
Dipu Moni, also, an Awami League MP made the call in a meeting with top officials of the United Nations Bangladesh Permanent Mission in New York City on Monday (October 23).
Dipu Moni said that 10 lakhs Rohingyas, who fled violence in Myanmar to Bangladesh, must be taken back to their homeland with due safety and dignity.
Furthermore, she said, “international community cannot disappoint these displaced people.”
In the meeting, she had talks with Under Secretary General Jeffrey Feltman of the Political Affairs Department in United Nations, and United Nations Special Rapporteur Yanghee Lee.
