FENI: Feni constituency-2 lawmaker also General Secretary for Feni district unit Awami League Nizam Uddin Hazari said that internal conflicts among the local units of BNP are responsible for the recent attack on their Chairperson Khaleda zia’s motorcade in Feni recently.

Hazari was addressing a press briefing arranged by Awami League, at Food Garden hotel in Trunk Road in the town.

“BNP is divided into many groups and sub-groups. VP Joynal, Rehana Akter Ranu, Abdul Awal Mintoo and Gazi Manik are divided into separate groups. They can’t tolerate each other’s leadership.”   

“Those groups became active on that day. Taking advantage of the grouping, attacks were carried out upon the journalists accompanying the motorcade of Khaleda Zia, upon direction from the central BNP”, he added.

District Awami League President Abdur Rahman B.com, Vice President Advocate Akramuzzaman were among others attended the briefing.

However, Khaleda Zia’s motorcade came under on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Lalpur and Fatehpur areas of Feni on her way to Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar on Saturday (October 28). Accompanying vehicles of DBC, Channel 24, Ekattor and some other assigned media houses were affected in the incident.
