FENI: Police arrested at least 13 leaders and activists of the BNP and its front bodies over the attack on the party chairperson Khaleda Zia’s motorcade in Feni.

Police arrested the BNP men from several areas in Feni district town in overnight drive which conducted till early morning on Thursday (November 02).

President of Feni municipal unit BNP Abul Mobarak Dulal, former commissioner of Feni municipality Babul, Phulgazi upazila Chhatra Dal president Kamal Hossain and Juba Dal leader Amzad Hossain are among the arrestees.   

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Feni model police station Md Rashed Khan Chowdhury confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.

Khaleda Zia’s motorcade came under attack in Feni on October 28 on her way to Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar. Her motorcade again came under attack also in Feni on October 31 on her return to Dhaka.
