DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said his party will not hold any political programs at this moment that create conflicts.

Mentioning that the AL government exiled the Chief Justice SK Sinha in an unprecedented manner, Fakhrul said, “The government is trying to establish a one-party rule in different ways. We have rescheduled our program on Nov 12. Hopefully government will cooperate.”

Fakhrul finally said Ziaur Rahman established the freedom of the press and multi-party democracy. It was for his endeavor, we have established democracy and freedom of expression in Bangladesh.

BNP Standing Committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Vice Chairman Dr. AZM Zahid, Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Joint Secretary General Habib-un Nabi Khan Sohel among others were present at the event.
