DHAKA: BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government has kept the democracy confined with a vow to make the power unending.

Rizvi was talking to the reporters after paying tribute by placing floral wreaths at Shaheed Noor Hossain Chattar in Gulistan, marking Shaheed Noor Hossain Day, Friday (November 10).

Some BNP central leaders were also present there.

“Democracy is now impeded under the boot. Noor Hossain is an inspiration for us to emancipate democracy.”

“It can’t be said democracy while Awami League controls it, no matter how many times they try to justify it. We want the democracy in attendance of various parties, various opinions”, he added. 

However, the senior BNP leader further said that BNP won’t participate in any election based on blue-print conspiracy. It will attend the polls only when a poll-time aide government and proper atmosphere for a fair poll are ensured.
