DHAKA: The 18th session of the Jatiya Sangsad will begin on Sunday (November 12).

The session of the current 10th Parliament will begin at 4:00 pm. It will be the last session for this year.

Prior to beginning of the session, the meeting of the business advisory committee of the parliament will be held at 3:00 pm in the Parliament building with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair. The meeting will fix the duration and businesses of the session.

President Md Abdul Hamid on October 24 convened the session exercising his power bestowed upon him by article 72 (1) of the constitution.

The 17th session of current Parliament ended on September 14. According to the constitution, the 18th session must begin within 60 days of the last session.
