DHAKA: Independent MP of Pirojpur-3 constituency Dr Md Rustam Ali Farazi has again joined former President HM Ershad-led Jatiya Party.

The joining ceremony was held at Jatya Party chairman’s Banani office in the city on Saturday (December 23).

Rustam Ali Farazi joined the party by placing wreath at the hands of Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad.

After joining the party, Rustam Ali Farazi said that he is charmed over the good behavior of HM Ershad. So, he decided to join his party.    

Rustam Ali Farazi was a leader of Jatiya Party and had taken part in the polls of 1996 from the party’s ticket. He had left the party after he failed in that polls. Later, he participated in the national polls as independent candidate and won the polls.

“The next parliamentary election is closed at hand. I want to be elected MP again as a party candidate. Many asked me to take part in the next election with the symbol ‘plough’. I will take part in the next election as a candidate of Jatiya Party,” said Rustam Ali Farazi.
