DHAKA: Finance Minister AMA Muhith has come down heavily on the leftist parties, particularity the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), for holding the siege program of Bangladesh Bank.

Talking to the journalists at Bangladesh Secretariat on Wednesday (December 27), AMA Muhith said that the leftist parties played nonsense and childish role through holding the program.

“The leftists are doing politics in the country without support. The CPB does not exist, but the party is working as nonsense. The party has no leaders and activists. They observe some program due to survival,” he said.

He commented that there might be corruption in the banking sector. But it is unnecessary to seize the Bangladesh Bank on the issue.
