DHAKA: BNP is planning to hold a rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan on January 5 marking the 'Democracy Killing Day’.

The party also hopes to carry out black flag procession in metropolitans, districts and upazilas of the country on the same day.
 
BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi came up the disclosure at a press conference in city’s Naya Paltan central office of the party on Monday (January 1).

“We sent a letter to the authority concerned on Saturday asking for permission. No permission has been granted yet. However, hopefully it will be granted,“ he added.
