KHULNA: A local BNP activist was hacked to death by miscreants in Khulna city on Tuesday night (June 20).

The deceased was identified as Abdullah Al Faisal Shiplu Molla, 26, son of M Faruquzzaman Babu Molla from Deana area of Daulatpur in the city.

Khulna Metropolitan unit BNP Joint secretary Principal Tariqul Islam told Banglanews that miscreants hacked Shiplu before his home at around 10:45 at the night.
    
He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) and declared dead by the physicians at around 11pm.

Daulatpur Police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Anwar Hossain said that the body was kept at the KMCH morgue for an autopsy.

None was arrested in this connection, said the OC.

However, local BNP leaders including Khulna Metropolitan unit BNP President Nazrul Islam Manju condemned the death of Shiplu and demanded immediate arrest of the killers.
