GAZIPUR: Road transport and bridges minister Obaidul Quader has asked the authorities concerned to issue show-cause notice against two executive engineers of the Roads and Highways Department (RHD) for their negligence of duty.

The minister made the order while inaugurating the Highway Police Control Room at Chandra area under Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur on Wednesday morning (June 21).   

During his visit there, he found negligence of two engineers of RHD in Gazipur and Manikganj in the up gradation work on Dhaka-Tangail Four-lane Highway.

The engineers are DAKM Nahin Reza, executive engineer of Gazipur RHD, and Md. Muhibul Haque, executive engineer of Manikganj RHD.

Senior information officer of the road transport and bridges ministry Abu Naser Tipu confirmed the matter to the Banglanews.
