DHAKA: BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the government will hopefully give all-out cooperation during the visit of party chairperson Khaleda Zia to Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar.
He was addressing the media before Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan residence, prior to leave for Cox’s Bazar Saturday morning (October 28).
Meanwhile, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has assured BNP to ensure security and offering cooperation, marking their visit to Cox’s Bazar Rohingya camps, said Fakhrul.
Earlier, a motorcade led by BNP chief Khaleda Zia set off for Cox’s Bazar, at around 10:00am.
Some senior BNP leaders including Fakhrul accompanied her.
She will make stopovers in Feni and Chittagong, en route to Cox’s Bazar and while returning Dhaka too.
After distributing relief goods among the Rohingyas and inspecting their situation, she is scheduled to return Dhaka Tuesday (October 31).
