CHITTAGONG: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said his party expects cooperation from the government, not fear of attack on BNP chairperson’s journey to Cox’s Bazaar.
The BNP leader made the statement while responding to reporters in the conference room of Chittagong Circuit House at 12:00 pm on Sunday (October 29).
Referring to Obaidul Quader, general secretary of Awami League, the BNP leader said, “Quader said the attack took place due to internal conflict of BNP. It wasn’t true. Earlier, we faced attack on our Rangamati journey. The attackers should not be spared. We have nothing to do when someone is pretending to be asleep.”
“The attack was pre-planned so that BNP doesn’t reach out to the people,” he added.
Central Vice Chairman Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, City BNP president Dr. Shahadat Hossain, and General Secretary Abul Hashem Bakkar were present there.
