TANGAIL: At least five activists were injured in infighting between two groups of the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the student wing of the ruling Awami League, at Maulana Bhashani Science and Technology University in Tangail.    

The incident took place in the early hours on Monday (October 30) over establishing supremacy.   

The supporters of BCL president of the university unit Sajib Talukder and the supporters of general secretary Saidur Rahman engaged in the clash at about 1:30 am.

Proctor of the university Sirajul Islam said that the clash took place following formation of the BCL committee recently.
