KISHOREGANJ: The local administration has imposed Section 144 at Pakundia upazila in Kishoreganj from 10:00 am on Monday (October 30).

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Pakundia Annapurna Debnath on Sunday (October 29) night imposed the Section 144 as the Awami League and the Juba League-Chhatra League called a rally on the same venue and same time.

The Section 144 will continue until the next announcement.

Pakundia upazila chairman and joint convener of the upazila Awami League Md Rafiqul Islam called a rally at 3:00 pm on the Pakundia Sadar Eidgah premises. The Juba League-Chhatra League called a separate rally on the same venue and the same time.

After imposing the Section 144, additional police were deployed in the area to avert untoward incident.
