DHAKA: Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said BNP will take part in the next general election under the current government and Election Commission (EC) on Sunday (January 7).
 
The Minister said this in response to a question posed by reporters after a meeting with the former Director General of World Trade Organization (WTO) at secretariat on Sunday (Jan 7).

The Rangpur City Corporation proves that EC is working in an efficient and neutral manner. That is why BNP was defeated by millions of votes, said Tofail Ahmed.

In response to a query about cabinet reshuffle, he said, change in portfolios of ministers is a natural process. All the ministers, who were entrusted with new responsibilities, have expressed gratification.
