DHAKA: The Election Commission (EC) is set to hold the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) by-polls on February 26.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda formally announced the polls schedule at EC Media Centre in the morning (Jan 9) in presence of commissioners, secretaries and acting secretaries.

According to the schedule, the last date for submitting nomination papers is January 18.

Besides, the last date for withdrawing nomination paper is January 29. The nomination papers will be scrutinized between January 21 and January 22.    

Simultaneously, EC has announced the schedule to hold polls in the newly-formed 18 wards of DNCC and DSCC on the same day - February 26.
