DHAKA: The High Court on Tuesday (January 9) rejected an appeal filed by BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain seeking reinvestigation into a case filed by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) against him.
An HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Shahidul Karim passed the order.
Lawyer Khurshid Alam Khan moved for ACC while Senior Lawyer AJ Mohammad Ali moved for Mosharraf at the courtroom.
Mosharraf earlier stated in the appeal that the charge-sheet of the ACC case wasn’t prepared accurately as he doesn’t posses the illegal property as said in the complaints brought against him. Afterwards, he pleaded for a reinvestigation into the case which was dismissed by the HC on Tuesday.
Earlier, January 16 was fixed for framing charges in the case.
ACC filed the case with Ramna Police Station on January 10 in 2008 accusing Mosharraf of possessing wealth beyond known income and concealing information.
