SYLHET: Some 34 activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), student wing of the ruling Awami League, were sued over the murder of Tanim khan.  

Tanim, also an activist of BCL at Tilaghore area, was killed over factional clash at Tilaghore area of Sylhet on Sunday (January 7). 

Delwar Hossain Rahi, a BCL leader of MC College in Sylhet and a friend of Tanim lodged the case at midnight on Wednesday (January 10).

A total of 29 identified suspects, including Sadiqur Rahman Ajla, Diamond, Ruhel of Awami League leader and City Councilor Azadur Rahman Azad Group and 4-5 unidentified persons were also accused in the case.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Akhter Hossain of Shahporan (R) Thana confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Tanim was attacked around 8:45 pm on Sunday night by rivals of BCL. Later, he succumbed to his injuries at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.
