DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has convened a meeting of party standing committee on Saturday (January 27).

Khaleda’s press wing official Syrul Kabir Khan told Banglanews that the meeting will be held at 8:30pm on Saturday at Khaleda’s Gulshan office.

Earlier on Jan 14, BNP chief held the last meeting with standing committee members when nominating candidate for DNCC by-polls and country’s latest political situation were discussed. 

On the other hand, A Dhaka court has fixed February 8 to deliver its verdict in Zia Orphanage Trust graft case against Khaleda Zia and five others. This might a topic of the discussion in the standing committee meeting.
