MANIKGANJ: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said any identified extortionist, terrorist, communalist or member of the anti-liberation force will not be qualified to get party membership.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, made the remarks while addressing as chief at a campaign program on AL's member collection and renewal of old memberships in Manikganj on Friday (January 26).

Quader said, “We should break up Manikganj district into three parts for recruitment campaign. We have to go door-to-door to make list. New member collection is not a show up job, this is hard work.”

Quader also told party activists and leaders not to bring bad people into the party. Nomination survey is underway and it will be reported directly to the party president Sheikh Hasina. 

“Sheikh Hasina will give nominations to those who are most acceptable by the people. No extortionist, terrorist or communalist will get to be Al member.”

Manikganj district Awami League organized the event of member collection in an effort to strengthened party position ahead of the next parliamentary election.
