DHAKA: A Dhaka court has sent BNP standing committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy to jail denying his bail appeal. 

Judge Mahmudul Islam of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court passed the order on Wednesday (January 31).

Advocate Sanaullah Mia moved for Goyeshwar’s bail appeal in court. 

Earlier on Tuesday night (January 31), DB police detained Goyeshwar Chandra Roy from frontward of Police Plaza in city’s Gulshan area. He was sent to court on Wednesday noon. 

He has been accused in a case filed over the attack on police members and snatching fellows from a police van by BNP activists on Tuesday afternoon (January 31).
