DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Thursday said her party does not believe in terrorism while Awami League (AL) unleashes a reign of terror openly across the country.
She was addressing a press conference held at her political office in Dhaka's Gulshan this afternoon a day before the verdict of the Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case scheduled to be delivered.
"As per the will of the ruling party, a verdict is being announced tomorrow against me in a false case. Nothing will happen to me if there is justice,” she added.
Khaleda added, "I am not afraid of it and won’t bow down my head. I am ready to face any situation."
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, party standing committee members Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sircar, Lt Gen (Retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Nazrul Islam Khan, Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Mirza Abbas and Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury attended the press conference.
